Braving Disruptions, Building Relationships: Lessons on promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights and addressing violence against women and girls in the Philippines
Overview
Gender equality is a fundamental human right and is key to eliminating poverty because it unlocks human potential and accelerates sustainable development. Oxfam in the Philippines implemented projects to transform unequal power relations, unjust structures, and harmful social norms to ensure the protection of women’s rights and the promotion of gender equality.
This report aims to distill lessons and reflections from three projects supported by Oxfam in the Philippines. Implemented by local partners, these projects seek to overcome barriers to the full exercise of sexual reproductive health and rights and to eliminate violence against women and girls.
