Working towards a world free from violence against women: UNIFEM’s contribution
Overview
Since International Women’s Year in 1975, violence against women has become a pressing concern for governments and the international community. This article discusses UNIFEM’s multi-faceted approach to addressing violence against women at many levels. Key activities are resourcing projects and programmes, regional awareness-raising campaigns, and sharing learning on best practice.
