Overview

Use this resource to help learners aged 11-16 understand the global arms trade and the campaign to regulate it.

In April 2013, the United Nations passed the Arms Trade Treaty with 156 countries voting in favour of the treaty. See the background information and slideshow for further details about the UN vote and its significance. We would like to thank all young people who supported the Control Arms campaign and helped to make this treaty a reality.

With the passing of the vote at the UN, these resources are now of historical interest. Find out about other ways in which you can take action through Oxfam’s Schools Speak Out Programme.
