Producer Groups and Commodity Clusters: Building blocks for smallholder farmers’ resilience and empowerment in Khatlon Region, Tajikistan
Overview
Producer groups and commodity clusters provide vital underpinning to the smallholder farmer institutions supported by Oxfam in the Khatlon region of Tajikistan. Over the past five years, the two platforms have evolved and matured into robust farmers’ collectives, which have contributed to the integration of 1,496 smallholder farmers in productive and equitable value chains in selected agricultural commodities, increasing their income and enhancing their resilience.
