Overview
A fast and accurate registration carried out in the early stages of a relief operation can be invaluable when assessing needs and arranging for an efficient and fair distribution of food and other relief supplies. Based on Oxfam’s wide experience of administering relief operations in a variety of emergency situations, this manual gives a step-by-step guide to assessing the need for and setting up a registration system. Sometimes a community-managed registration system is more appropriate and the manual assesses the advantages and disadvantages of both systems.
