Group Cash Transfers in Yemen: Local solutions, lasting impact
Overview
Group Cash Transfers (GCTs) provide unrestricted cash grants to unregistered, emerging, or self-mobilising community groups, enabling them to design and implement projects that respond to locally identified priorities. In Yemen’s conflict-affected Maqbanah District, Oxfam and partner Benaa Charity for Human Development (BCFHD) supported 13 community groups to lead initiatives addressing food security, women’s empowerment, WASH and infrastructure needs, reaching more than 30,000 people.
