Questioning harmful traditions
Overview
This is a short piece by activist Masooma Ranalvi; she shares the experience of female genital mutilation (FGM) /cutting and the culture of silence surrounding it. In collaboration with other survivors, Masooma has created the collective WeSpeakOut, where women speak and question this violence from their childhood. WeSpeakOut aims to end the practice of FGM.
