Rural development and women: what are the best approaches to communicating information?
Overview
The availability of improved agricultural and environmental conservation technologies might suggest that we can relatively easily improve the living conditions of rural farmers. However, the experience of a project in Tanzania shows that men’s and women’s use of technologies are intricately linked with social and cultural factors such as the gender division of labour.
