Overview

Mum’s Magic Hands’ programme resources for rapid response include materials to run meetings with groups (storyboards and images of handwashing with soap) and visuals for making posters and stickers to remind target groups of the importance of handwashing with soap.

The storyboard presentation includes story scripts and images which can be printed out to tell the MMH story to target groups. It is available in versions for use in Africa, Asia and global (multicultural) contexts.

Mums Magic Hands was jointly developed by Oxfam, Unilever’s Lifebuoy soap and Unilever’s Chief Sustainability Office, using the most common emotional motivators (nurture and affiliation) found across three Asian countries. See the MMH Field Guide for rapid implementation of MMH in emergencies.
