Overview

Forty-five Raising Her Voice partners seeking to promote women’s political participation in 17 countries across the world have had to come to grips with tackling violence against women and girls (VAWG), both as a structural barrier to women’s participation in political life and as a consequence of effective governance work. This paper shares the strategies that have worked and advocates for the sharing of good practice around tackling VAWG across all programme areas, given its far reaching consequences.
