Overview

Katz argues that religious fundamentalists aim to control society by confirming male power within the family. ‘Women Against Fundamentalism’ is a global network of feminist political activists who link feminism to anti-racism, and believe that secularism promotes pluralism. WAF opposes multiculturalism because the concept wrongly implies that religious and community leaders represent the views of most people. WAF has become known internationally through networking, conferences, personal experiences of its members, and the media.
