Overview

The ‘Community-Led Disaster Risk Reduction’ project aims to increase resilience to climatic shocks among target groups in Mongu district in the Zambezi floodplain of western Zambia, through:

  1. Strengthening capacity of target communities to manage and respond to floods and droughts; and
  2. By encouraging livelihood diversification and asset growth. 

These full and summary reports document the findings of a quasi-experimental impact evaluation carried out in January 2013 in six communities located .
