Overview

Inspire and motivate learners to explore the role of music in social change. Focusing on West Africa, this resource will guide learners through an exploration of aspects of the culture, history and experiences of people in Benin, Mali and Senegal, and of how music can be used to express people’s voices.

This resource can be used alongside Raising our Voices.

There is no expectation of young people to fundraise for Oxfam. However, we know that many schools like to stage an Oxjam concert to raise money for Oxfam’s work. The Oxfam Gig Maker Guide for Schools provides some advice on how to do this.
